ELDDS's very own Arts Festival
Hi everybody! This is HU LI LIN reporting in to blog! (Oh my gosh,please pardon my excitement as I gush and giggle over the wide variety of colours to use for my text for blogging)
So yesterday,on the 30th of August 2005,ELDDS had its last compulsory session,whereby we had our very own Arts Festival happening right in the midst of Aesthetic Studio 2 in Cedar Girls' Secondary School. We had three different groups performing and the audience got to decide who would get the prizes and certificates of honour.
The best thing was...that our ex-president Jeannette came back and sacrificed 3 hours of her studying time just to watch us and give us her utmost support. It was really heartfelt and really cool...so thank you loads Jeannette!
To Ting Wei's group: KUDOS to you! I liked the skit! It had such a high element of humour and entertainment in it! Ting Wei,you managed to overcome your stage-fright jitters and emerge up strong so WOOHOO!!! *claps hands* Nice gentleman,nice plot(What about Lianna chasing after Lucie talking about SPCA! And the part when Lucie said,"Sorry i have to go-my dog has a cold!" That was HILLARIOUS!)nice judge!
To the Secondary 2 murderers' group: WELL DONE WELL DONE WELL DONE!!! Thanks for meeting up on Saturday to get everything ready-i was really impressed by your props-especially the water! Thank you for just contributing so much to ELDDS-your batch is the most enthusiastic batch by far and please really keep that committment level up because we can't survive without you guys:)
To Transition: Sneha Shankar,our transition leader,thank you for guiding us in making all the props,having such a high level of efficiency and really pushing us to our maximum potential. I still want to learn how to fake-cry for my dramatic scenes,but thanks for showing me that it's possible to touch an audience without necessarily having to cry on the spot:) Congratulations on snagging the awards too:)
Personally,i felt that yesterday's session was the MOST FUN EVER:)

Okay here are some announcements:
1) We're doing revamping for the EL noteiceboard in October. All groups(including those who haven't acted),please give me a copy of your scripts:)
2)We're making all our skits from the arts festival into big,big,BIG PLAYS!!! Please keep your scripts intact and be prepared for more practices after the exxams:)
3)The angel-and-mortar game list will be released soon. (I was so touched when our secondary one junior told me excitedly after ELDDS session,"Angel and mortar game will be SO fun...)
4)The exco. hasn't collected $5 from everybody yet!

ELDDS' Very Own Blog!
Hey everyone! This is Simphoni reporting. From today onwards, I shall be proud to announce the creation of Cedar Girls' Secondary School's English Language Debate and Drama Club's very own, private blog! (phew, that's looong...)
This blog, is of course, belongs to the members of ELDDS. So, you are all ('you' as in the ELDDS members, duh...) are welcomed to edit and maintain this blog. Password and username will be told by our president of course.
Anyway, that's all first. I'll write more as soon as I finished editing the layout. As you can see, it's so darn boring now. So, audieu! >
