#2 Play : Thief of Time
Mr Sng has gotten tickets for ALL ELDDS MEMBERS to attend a play called "Thief Of Time" by the Voice. The tickets are FREE.

Date: 18 July 2009, Saturday
Time: 3:00 PM
Venue: The Republic Cultural Centre Theatre
9 Woodlands Ave 9, Singapore 738964
Attire: Smart Casual
Ticket: Free Seating

This is NOT compulsory. However, everyone is HIGHLY encouraged to attend.
This is a rare chance for the whole of EL to watch a play together & it'll be exciting!
Treat this as a time for bonding as well as a learning experience to watch how other people perform.
I hope everyone can go for it yeah! ^^

Please ask you parents for permission first!
TAKE NOTE: there is NO CONSENT FORM for this.
TAKE NOTE 2: You have to make your way there yourself.
However, we might arrange for everyone to gather together somewhere before we enter the theatre yeah.
Either on Thursday or Friday, we'll give out the tickets then & let you all know the arrangement for Saturday yea.

So basically what you must do after reading this :

INFORM your parents about the play & ASK for permission to go.
FIND OUT how to get there yourself (as a back-up plan before we tell you the arrangement for Saturday)

We tried our best
we tried our best
we tried our best

This was what I'd been chanting to myself for the past weekend.
Screw the judges, why let them bring us down? Why shed those tears for their poor judgement? Perhaps they're just so blind to see the brilliance of our performance.
I just know that WE TRIED OUR BEST, and WE ROCK.
We won't let anyone else bring us down, and we only cry among ourselves. We only cry in the shower where no one hears you.
but, when we are in front of everyone, we stand proud, why?
because we know we put in our best.

We learnt how to cry, we learnt how to laugh, we learnt how to be angry, we came to know how it feels to be on stage, and be free. we got scolded, we got frustrated, we got disappointed.

But thank you cast and crew, for staying together till the very end.
24 April'09 may have been the saddest day of our lives, but it may also be the happiest day. Because we learnt how to thank each other for everything we did together.
thank you everyone who was came down to support us, and believed in us.

and thank you Mr Sng, for encouraging us, scolding us, joking with us, laughing with us, and believing in us. You are the best coach we could ever have.

3 Letters

Maybe it was the judges
maybe it was how stupid they were
they didn't care enough to budge
I realized this as i saw those tears (I saw them, that was more heartbreaking than the results)

I guess we expected too much
Well, I thought we did great (awesomely in fact, which is why we expected so much)
You only realize it's reality with one touch
I don't believe it's fate (or even reality, but it was.)

Who knew this could break someone
who knew that 3 letters could wake someone up
We don't want to tell anyone
All we want to do is drown ourselves in a cup (of juice, not alcohol.)

I think what they say means nothing
Of course, to others it may mean something.

Maybe you're scared people will start looking down
at us, with a frown.

They won't, they'll sympathize
They have to know we did our best
Even if they aren't necessarily nice (or even don't sympathize a little)
We'll do our best during the test (May 8th.)

I think we all deserve something better than those 3 letters

I think this isn't worth your tears

I think you ought to calm down 1 second and breathe

I think you ought to cheer up

I think you ought to remember that what we received isn't what's important.

I think you ought to realize that we're one.

I think you ought to remember that time heals everything

But you also ought to remember that friends do too.

And you have those.

So stop crying

So stop fretting

Just smile and realize what you've contributed and helped with

The end product is what matters

Not the results.

We got COP.

We gave our 100%, put in a lot of effort,

too bad the 5 humans couldn't see it.

Today we may cry the shit out of our eyes,

Tomorrow we may curse the hell out of the judges,

But eventually the results isn't going to matter anymore.

Like what Mr Sng said, at most next year Mrs Ou Yang wouldn't mention ELDDS.

What we want and HAVE ACHEIVED,

is a closer bond between each and every drama member,

a friendship of a lifetime

an experience far more precious than a GWH,

and manymanymany happy memories together =D

Mr Sng is THE best coach we can EVER have.

it wasnt what we expected. it really wasnt. and it isnt anyone's fault. not the cast, the crew, not mr sng. cause we gave it our all. let everyone say what they want to say, but we say : CEDAR ELDDS IS DESTINED TO DOMINATE THE STAGE. we just havent decided when to do just that, and make everybody's jaw drop. so EL, whatever it is, we are still ELDDS and we'll prove that we CAN do it. we know we didnt deserve what we got, but when life hands you lemons, make use of it. this just shows that we can improve ourselves. if we're good, then we gotta be GREAT. then we'll work on being AWESOME. eventhough, personally, we are already there. its just that no one knows that.

There is nothing in this to be ashamed of. El, you have done your bestest, and I know it, in fact, everyone knows it.

Hold your heads high, because you've done your best. And that is the most important essence of life. To have done our best.

I know, you know we don't deserve this, but who are we to change the mindset of 5 people whom judges us. They are not able to see the hard work that we have put in. They are not able to go through the painful and tiring process of rehearsals and managing school work. They are only, able to judge us from that 20 minutes performance. That, 20 minutes.

Remember all the good times we had, all the stupid drawings on the walls of our sets, getting down and dirty with white pain, all this time sacrificed, all the bond forged with our friends.

Thank you for all the great memories. I love you, EL

its been rumoured that the SYF results are gonna be released this thursday. im kindof freaked. like, we're one of the last few. then all the other performing arts before us all like super pro liddat. i'm not saying el isn't pro or anything, but it's just that i don't want to be dissapointed and to dissapoint. oh well. we did our best right? we put in our 105.674 % for SYF.

so. cedar LIT UP's comin up. and i'm the bibik belachan. but i think the sec ones are damn pro at acting. not bad, not bad. no offense to the others lah.

Cheers to the Secondary 3's who have done brilliant speeches during the campaign speeches on the 14th of April!

Hope that all of you will keep to the campaign promises that you've made, and regardless of the changes that will come, I hope that all of you will maintain that special bond that the Secondary 3 ELDDS members are known for.

Wednesday 1/4/09 , was a blast, and it aint a joke : )

The cast gave in their 100% effort and energy, and it did pay off by the wonderful and smooth flow of the play!

Special mentions:

Mother- who totally upped the game on wed with her breakthrough performance

Melody-Who thought on her feet and improvised with the lightings

Cast- Who gave their all, on that day and every rehearsal! We made it through in one piece : D

Crew- Who painstakingly carried the sets up and down the stairs, straining their arm muscles and their physical strength, and had to worry about preventing the sets from breaking

Debaters- Who took time off from their lessons to come down to support us in our performance, and enduring countless hours of boredom and waiting.

Mr Joseph Tan, Ms Lim- For taking time off their busy schedule to come down and support us

Mr Anil- Who readily and unconditionally helped us to fix our severely damaged sets.

Mrs RW- For putting on our makeup, allowing us to show off our best to the audience

TLDDS - For helping Shanice put on her Sari and lending us your makeup

Handbell and MLDDS - For allowing us to use the AS 1 & 2

THANKS!

And

Last but not least

Mr Sng - For never giving up on us, although we seem like we're not improving or putting enough effort for rehearsals

For sacrificing time, effort and thought on the SYF play

It's just 12 days away from THE day!

Time really flies, doesn't it? : )

everyone can give ourselves a pat on the back for putting in so much effort as compared to anything we've done before! Thanks to all of you who sacrificed your beauty sleeps and mugging time to come for syf rehearsals, it is very heartwarming to see us putting so much effort into it

No matter what others say, we know we're doing our best, and we're proud of it.

Some people just don't see the effort, what is most important is that we see it ourselves. we're not perfect, but in any sense , we're making improvements by leaps and bounds each time. We don't always get the encouragement we need all the time, but I've got plenty of encouragements to spare. : D

EL! Press on! Its just 12 more days!

This is my first time posting here* gulps*!

Yep, SYF will be on April Fools Day! So we really have very little time left!

I can see some effort put into SYF, but of course, more can be put in!

P.s: remember to inform me of all your extra practices yeah?

Now that we have a change in script, hope all the actors as well as backstage crew can cope with the increased need for logistics and also adapt to the changes!

Continue to give your best EL, I'm sure we can do it!

Though we ain't the best drama exco, we're still giving our best. we're sorry for not doing enough. Do give us your support, cause we hope we're aint alone in this. We'll all work hard and give our 100% together k!

I've realized that I'm psychic. Mr Sng changed Esther's "Why're there so many shoes?" to "What's all the hullaballoo?", right? Look at the title of the previous post! I'm a genius, okay! I have good vocab, according to Mr Sng, because he says that people with good vocab would use the word. Hahah. I'm sleepy. I can't wait for drama on Friday, because everyone has improved! Yay yay yay yay!

FAKE CHALET

So this is my 'fake chalet' post. Before you roll your eyes at me, just think for a sec k. I've been stuck at home for 3 days doing nothing but ingesting red and orange pills to make me feel better about my life. I think I have the right to do this. I'm going to make this as PRIMARY SCHOOL as possible because panadol has strained my brain dry of fresh brain juice. Brain juice that is essential when summoning a decent vocabulary.

So we arrived at Costa Sans resort on a dark and stormy night. Michelle and Poojha checked us in and we walked down a dirty corridor to get to our room. Unfortunately, the only way to get to the room was to ride the magical unicorn that came by once ever 3 hours. (this is so shanice). With 2 hours and 46 minutes to spare, EL rushed to escape theme park, only to discover it was not usually open on dark and stormy nights.

Okay so Joy asked to be Photoshopped into the picture. One, I don't have Photoshop and two, I failed terribly in Photoshop when we tried it for Art last year. So I am reduced to cropping photos and cutting and pasting them in Powerpoint then printscreening it. Warning: The result is not pretty. So you see, when you don't show up for photo-taking, this is what happens to you. You become a victim of my horrible cutting and pasting skills. :D

And ta-DAH! It's not that bad actually, the only thing's that you have to visualise the arms and legs and torsos. YOU KNOW YOU LOVE IT. I left out Jolene and Trang because I have no picture of/with them. D: I want a picture with Stoner Girl! DD:

I GOT INTO THE BLOG, OMG. EYD pictures, as requested, of those who actually showed up for the photo-taking but they're a little blurry, especially the one of the Sec 3s, whoever took the photo must've been nervous (*cough*PROBABLY FROM BEING IN MY WUNDERFUL PRESENCE*cough*) so yes, but this is the best I have. THANK YOU SEC 1s, for your time and effort, in putting up a rocking performance, in buying your seniors such pretty presents, in going through the trouble of preparing food for our lovely seniors and lastly, for tolerating all the nonsense you were subject to. :D

SEC 2s;
THANK YOU SEC 2S, for your spanking invitations. They were absolutely awesome and I was and still am immensely proud of you guys. Your performance item was very, very entertaining. I had no idea sharianty and nanthini could dance so well. haha. Thank you for going through the trouble of baking us 2 beautiful chocolate fudgey cakes and throwing cadbury chocolate on them. Thanks for all the effort you've put in for this farewell. I'm so grateful for having such hardworking, realistic and creative juniors, willing to sacrifice almost EVERYTHING for EL. :)

SEC 3s;
The gay, horny batch. haha Thank you sec 3s for helping me with the different commitees, Invitations, Souvenirs, Food, Performance. You guys were definitely the best and even though we didn't get certain things done to perfection, we managed to pull of EL farewell and for that I am eternally grateful. Thanks for the gay meetings and the updates at odd hours. Thanks for tolerating my long and sometimes incoherent smses. You guys are the best.

Thank you EL for your effort, blood, sweat and tears. May you always be cheerful and seek solace in all things err.. english related.

saa, my first full ELDDS camp, and it was my last.
and I was facilitating.
I vow to crash next year's ELDDS camp. ZETTAI NI! (that's Japanese for "FOR SURE!")
When I heard that there was a meeting by all the sec 4s about the ELDDS camp, I was v. happy.
When I found out that not all the sec 4s were there, I was... still happy.
When I found out that we weren't playing any of the games, I was... neutral. (I for one wouldn't be caught dead doing the apple bobbing thing.)
When I found out that there was a general knowledge quiz, Inner Bookman started to cry, and I was... slightly not happy.
And then came the requirement that we had to act like "responsible sec 4s", and I was pretty convinced that one hour into the camp I was going to retreat into myself and stop talking completely for the whole day. (Too hard, too hard!)

But it ended up being quite fun, though I gave a total of about three forfeits (I think it's quite a sad number, but then again I'm a bit sad-istic when it comes to that sort of thing.). I made people dance the Hare Hare Yukai (it ended up looking very different from the Hare Hare Yukai though...), and got other people to yell quotes from 300 outside the HOD room (Do the HODs even know what 300 is?). But that kept me going, and I was happy.
Oh right, and I must have done the Hare Hare Yukai, the Motteke! Sailor Fuku and the Soulja Boy at least seven times each over the course of the day. Maybe more. I made myself so happy XD

And of course, being the generously-self-appointed Joseph Goebbels of ELDDS (I need a heir! OMG I HAVE NO HEIR.), I made a video 8D.

If during the alleged Hare Hare Yukai there's unstable footage, that's my bad - I started doing all the actions to the Hare Hare Yukai with my right hand in the middle of the dance. ^^
*cough cough*to be narcissistic, why didn't i record myself doing the soulja boy. */cough cough*

I did enjoy posing for the kung fu picture though. That was kinda fun. I remember back when I was in sec2 and sec3 and I used to do the whole see-how-far-we-can-bend-backwards thing with Prisia and Vicky would come along and go all "NO IT'S DANGEROUS! D8" and I'd try my best to justify it.

It was exponentially fun! I would like to commend the Secondary 4s for putting in so much effort to make us the gayest CCA in Cedar. The games succeeded in bonding us, within our levels and throughout the entire cca. So, I leave you with some a video of the forfeit we made Anita do.

Ahoy EL!

well, I have to thank you guys for your support REALLY. The campaign days have been chaotic and stressful but I shall always take pride in the fact that you el folk have always supported me. From the beginning of it all, when I was a wee-sec-1 with afro hair, I knew you guys were genuinely good people and now, I've had the opportunity to experience it firsthand!

It has been a delight to serve as debate captain for the past year and I'm sure the new EL exco will do the best they possibly can to fight for our rights! Cooperation and understanding is key,

Hey all. (: I have suddenly found a free pocket of time on my hands, and thus decided to post.

Haha. What a week it has been ya? Especially with the let down of camp. I'm so sorry for the huge disappointment regarding this issue. The exco and the sec 4s will try our best to make up for it. And I'll especially thank the sec 4s not only for tolerating all my rushing for proposals but also for agreeing to come back in June to hold the day camp. (: EL don't be to sad k? (:

debate competition at plmgss

yesterday night the cedar debate team participated in a debate competition. we fought hard but unfortunately lost to the other team, National Junior College(IP).

okay. i know it sounds stupid but its my first time posting something on the el blog. you can edit if you want to. whoever it is.

anyway, while waiting for our turn, we, the sec2s and 3 and the only sec1, went on a tour around plmgss (the venue for the competition). without a guide. it wasnt really a tour. we were just walking around. so we went to this open space at the top of the school (which is super cool) and took pictures and spooked ourselves. then after that we got really scared then went down back, leaving me at the back of the group.

the debate itself was quite good. our team i mean. not njc. although i didnt really understand much, i understood that what the 3rd speaker said was all wrong.

and our ex and ex ex seniors came to support us. i dont know their names but from our members' reaction, the ex-senior (vidhya!*sharianty edited. lols) seemed to be someone they all loved.

Hi, everyone! Simphoni here. Hope you still remember your former vice-president ;_;

I'm quite happy to see that the blog is still alive, mostly thanks to the active contributions of geraldine and joy (can't get enough of enthusiastic people like you two). And since the auditions are done, I hope that you'll all have fun with the new members. Give them a warm welcome with a little bit of teasing and bullying (just kidding!).

For those who are wondering about what happens to the seniors, well unfortunately, I only know about some of them. Vidhya is AWOL, Vithiiya's in VJC, Vicky in SRJC (going to CJC), Rashmi in RJC, Azizah in HWJC, Yiying in CJC. And as for me, please don't gasp, I'm going to Temasek Poly, taking Diploma in Business. Don't worry, my 'O'level result is not that bad (I got single digit), but I decide to go to poly because I want to work first before going univ. For the current sec 4s who later on decided to follow my path, don't hesitate to contact me! LOL.

Lastly, this layout is getting quite old. I'm going to change it soon :D Hope you all don't mind.

Hey people(:

How has your holidays been? I'm sure most of you will be refreshed for the start of school that is just coming up right? Next year should be interesting for all of us with the first inter class script writing and debate competition organized by EL. Hopefully some of us have submitted proposals Mr Sng.

Have any of you guys been down to the holing site? The place is actually quite nice and the school is painting the place up to make it look a lot brighter. There is a huge field, meaning lots of interesting PE lessons and the dinning hall is very spacious too. The classes are just a little smaller than what we are used to but it should be just fine. Drama session should be in the AS1 which is on the 3^rd level complete with our own store. I haven't been in the AS1 yet, but it looks really big from the outside For debate, Mr Sng said something about either in the library or one of the computer labs and if we ever get chased out, there lots of benches around the school. (:

The orientation booth will be on the 26^th of Dec, the sec 2s come sec 3s have been preparing for it and I must say they have done a commendable job so far. Keep our fingers crossed k? will see you guys soon. (:

Greetings. Tis be Joy.

WELL GUESS WHAT. I haven't blogged here for almost a year. Frankly, I'm not sure what to blog about. But Faith is IM-ing me nonstop. So I shall give it a go.

now.. hmmm... what shall I blog about. hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Let's blog about my day, though I don't really blog about single days ,rather days as a whole. but anyway,

Today, I went back to School, bright and early with my guitar and perhaps a useless bottle of water. Today, I climbed that great big thingamajig in school. yes, that rock wall. Yes, it was fun. haha. But I kept smacking myself against the wall. OVER AND OVER. especially when I was climbing down. OVER AND OVER. the Intolerable pain . It was like the belayer was playing a sick joke on me where she jerked the rope vigorously every time I descended a metre or so.

And after that, I popped by to check on the debaters then I popped away to join my group for our campfire audition. Then I popped back at about 12 and found Estee and Fiona hanging around so I hung around with them too. Just me, Estee and Fiona. Hanging.

Then I went home and settled myself on a couch in a vegetative trance. And now, I'm here.

my mind is pretty muddled.
So maybe I'll blog a more.. intellectual post another time.

So I've finally completed the new layout!!! Yay!!!

If you look carefully, you would have notice that the BIG splotch in the center is our very own ELDDS shirt logo! Only that it's pink instead of gold. Mainly because the original picture that I have is uber ugly so I have to re-paint the whole thing, and I guess hot pink goes well with black :D

Anyway, what do you think?

Before I forget, here are a couple of things I want you to take note:

1). If you have a blog, please add your url under the navigation (you know where it is). If you are an html-idiot, please don't try to mess up the template coding! Just email me your blog url and I'll add you in myself.

sorry everyone. we have some bad news for you. U gals have been anticipating this EL camp for a long time. But we are very very very sorry. The EL camp has been postponed. We are truly sorry. The camp cannot go on this Fri because it is FAMILY DAY. So the school will close at 5pm and all pupils are supposed to spend time with your family. However, the EL camp will still go on. Most probably on the last week of the school hols or the first week of term 3. very sorry....

ahhh... its like a dream.
we came, we spoke and WE WON!! haha, its kinda freaky actually to beat RGS,
i really don't know how to express my gratitude to everyone who stayed back SUPER late just to support us at the super-freaking-big-school called ACS - B SOO late at night... thanks to all the sec 4s who, even with O's came down, came, like practically every single one of them.
i love you people!!!!!!! omg... this is our last year together..sigh.

and to the sec 1s, i hope you guys got a feel of what u will be going through in a few years... learn as much as you can.. because beleive it or nnot, Cedar will most definitely, in a few years, rise to the caliber of schools like MGs and ACSI. this year being the first that cedar's participated in 'A' Div, it was a pretty good start. now we need to start clawing our way up the tables. heh heh. you guys have loads of potential and so we have high hopes for you guys. beleive in yourselves and you can do it!

well.. unfortunately, this is kinda the end of the tournament for me and San. we won't be taking part in anymore competitions although you can certainly trust that we'll have many intrigueing debates of our own in the library. estee - jia you! must continue to be strong ok! my baby sister!!!

pple in the world today are capable of doing anything to earn $. they have basically become more materialistic. they are just not concerned abt the outcome of their actions as they are self-centred. so, im not surprised with the fact that more and more fast food restaurants are blooming everywhere. everywhere meaning, they can be found at all corners in all streets in every city of every ctry.
however, we pple who are very prone to be held by the evil clutches of these fast food restaurants have to learn to make the right decisions on our own. for this, we all need to excercise self-discipline. however it is this factor that many of us are lacking in and hence lose out easily to these restaurants.fast food restaurants have done nothing to be blamed at.these restaurants have in fact been very creative to come up with receipes that attract pple of all ages. when chicken meat can provide so much of taste, why would they bother to come up with receipes containing only vegetables??? besides it just make the task of preparing a tasty meal more difficult.fast food restaurants give pleasure to those who eat the food. they are a popular element of parties which make the party even more fun. so when they provide so much of pleasure, people will obviously choose to have their meals here more than anywhere else.the current generation has been taught the importance of education. so these people of the future have to make the right decisions to protect themselves as well as their family memebers. if u dont know how to cook, then just grab a cooking book with receipes of a nutritious meal!

hello, is me! Le Joy.

Recently went to Sentosa for LTC camp. I left the hous with nice neat hairhehe and blue trackpants. My bag was empty except for a bottle of water. I was ready to face the world! I got their a little late because I was having an affair with my mr sausage mcmuffin. hmhoo?

So we left for Sentosa. I sat at the back and watched how poojha and her friend waved at random people on the street. Such kind souls... yeS?

So we had fun yada yada.. went back to school.. had some session with the prefectorial board. yada yada.. very nice people yada yada... Played wacko...yada yada..hmm..

SO all in all, the day was quite perfect.
I returned home, faded trackpants, a skin tone darker, my hair bigger and fluffier than ever like it had just single handedly foug and won the second world war(not to say that it couldnt) and finally,with moist sand between my toes which I SWEAR if i hadn't washed out, would have started a flesh eating fungi on my big toe.

and I've come to a conclusion. Holidays are only fun when you actualy have time to enjoy yourslef. What with all this holiday homework crap and etc.etc etc.. The only actual place that Im going to is J8 and Orchard. And the occasional Port Dickson. And the time that I spend at home is either wasted on shows like America's Next Top Model where I envy every single person on the show except of course, the photographer, Nigel Barker<33. Dan Estrin.(the one in red)

And other movies like Vanity Fair full of pretty pretty people in pretty pretty clothes, not to mention James Purefoy. Ohh and who could forget Julian McMahon from Nip and Tuck. And of course, Thomas Gibson from Dharma and Greg. hahaha. Such handsome people deserve to be with me y'know?

Ok enough of my ranting about hollywood. Tell me some of your sweethearts?

Hallo all! It's Simphoni reporting from, er..... Singapore! Anyway, firstly, what have you (faith?) done to the blog? Whenever I tried to access it, my computer got stuck and hang. Anyway, the most important thing is, I'm here to remind you that THERE WILL BE ANOTHER EL SESSION ON THE 17TH OF OCTOBER AT 2.30 PM. So, remember to come!

Secondly, I also want to remind you that the EL CAMP is still on. It's from 31ST OCTOBER-2ND NOVEMBER FROM 9AM TO 4PM. Lunch will be provided which is why I need you to tell me if:

2). if you're a vegetarian

Lastly, about CIP....I will only look for CIP during the November-December holiday if more than 20 people are interested. And the CIP will probably take place in the first 2 weeks of November, so make sure you don't ciao first.

So, remember to tell your parents about the camp. Remember that if you don't go, it'll be your own loss ie. you got lesser chance on participating in SYF! And remember to tell me your answers for no.1 & 2 ok? or I'll hunt you down and give you the evil eye, like this:

HEY ALL!

Exams are here. Sec1 Science was pretty ok.. until that last sectionC. It's like they were waiting for everyone to think " OMG! the paper's almost over and it's not that difficult. hmm? " And there it comes, a smack in the face with a mind boggling question which i read, re-read and re-re-read over and over to actually understand. Thankfully.. .
i finished :P

And halfway through, Mr Ang comes in and says in his low voice. " Ok GIRls, for question 28, the option should be changed from ABDC to ABCD." He repeats that for over 3 times. Each time in the same tone. I wanted to laugh but i knew i couldn't :D.

So, here's to all our seniors. Mainly Reka for noticing peeping poojha and never failing to say "hello sexy!", sending poojie into fits of insanity and laughter.

to be found studying? wow thats so cool!

lol at this time of the year where everyone's found with a textbook (maybe an occasional storybook), we are all very very stressed.

every level reacts to this stress differently.

the sec ones are a bit weird. perhaps they get a little more.. excited? think joypoojha terms HAHAHAHA. maybe they're dying of nerves. i dunno. maybe maybe maybe. i dont remember my sec one life at all.

the sec twos are cramming. they've got it easy. and they're not exactly stressed but they're alright they're really (literally) everywhere.

the sec threes are collapsing. one by one. we even studied together at the kfc at paya lebar to try to figure something out. i think we did alright. we're in quicksand. the more we struggle, the more we sink. and we cant get out unless someone helps us. (in this case; some fortunate soul who's willing to teach a years' worth of geog/chem/physics/bio/hist/amath/emath/ss notes to us. in one day. :(

and the sec fours. the perennial problems lying in the hazy fields of academic excellence. lol IF THAT MADE SENSE.HAHAHA.

i have no idea why no one posted about the farewell party.
i'd have thought the blog would be flooded by posts,but...
not even the tagboard is being used T-T

ABOUT TODAY.
it was so fun ^^.
we played dog and bone,where the combined efforts of all the lower sec students there were no match for the combined efforts of rachna and the sec 3s.
but that's ok!
then we had to lie around imagining a character.
i wanted to settle on terra first,but coach serena said it had to be believeable(i do hope that's how you spell it.) -_-"'
so i found a character.
and then we were to play out the character's life in a day.
and during this time,and i don't know about the rest because i sort of tuned them out,i threw a w---- out of my bed,blogged,played AoE3,played Warcraft III Reign Of Chaos and Pacman,got fired from work for being late for work everyday (due to me staying up all night watching...oh never mind.),called the newspaper i worked for a sucky newspaper,went and had a long (two hour long!) smoke outside the office,continued on the Warcraft campaigns,went to the park and had fantasies of the children doing Nasty Things,talked to a kid called Monroe who refused to answer me,and went to sleep after having fantasies about my roommate (the neighbourhood idiot) and me doing Nasty Things.
by now you should have figured i'm a perv,smoker,paedophile,porn-watcher,and a computer gamer.
Then we had to be our character in a selected scenario.
the first one was bus stop.
everyone there was minding their own business,and a lot of them were standing up,so i went down,and started looking up skirts.YES SKIRTS.
i tried to pick tereza up,who said that i should go find someone my age.i said i was her age,and she said she was fifteen,to which i replied i was twenty-five.she was the last person to leave.
so i said,"darn,no more girls,i'm going home."
the next was mickey d's.
i stayed there all along,playing on my laptop and making sounds of OMG.(i was watching porn.)
then we had character interviews.
i can't remember all the questions!
i said my name was joe green
i was 25
i had no girlfriends because girls were disgusting
i had no boyfriends,but it sounded like a good idea
i'm NOT gay
i used to be a reporter but i got fired from work 'cos...never mind.

thanks for voting and for hte interviews and for the campaign speeches! I love you all!!!

I felt really,really,really,really,really touched when you said such lovely things to the exco. today. When Vicki said," You all made an impact," the atmoshpere was so intense and it was HEARTFELT even though I was busying myself with opening up the folded pieces of paper with the votes for Ying Xuan to tally the scores. I felt like I could cry in private! You girls are so so so so so sweet!

Even when I have graduated, I'm going to keep coming back to my alma mater and finally realise the dreams that our seniors have passed down to us. I'm going to do ELDDS proud. I'm going to supportyou all FOREVER. Out of love. We're going to reach world-class standard one day. Others will snort and laugh, but we'll have the last laugh:) It's amazing how failure pushes people to exceed beyond their limits.

As coach Serena will still be coming in for a coaching session on Tuesday(week 1-27th June), drama and debate sessions will go on as per normal.

Coach Serena will not be coming in to coach us for July,so we will ahve some free sessions to do our election.

We will hold the election campaigning during week 2 tuesday. Here's a rough sketchline of what's going to happen...

yesterday was flag day!!!
for most of you all it was the second flag day of the year.
for me it was the first flag day in my life :)) .
i went with rachna ^^.
i got the first donation,but rachna got more at somerset.
we stood in front of the escalator,where people could see us.
most of them walked diagonally when they got off the escalator,but some were nice enough.
one of the guys told us that we should walk around instead of standing there lol.
then we went to dhoby ghaut.
and we were considerably busy there,though many said they'd come by later,and never did,some politely refused,and some just passed us.others were nice though,thank goodness.
the two of us got a drink in the middle of it ^-^.
then we went to orchard.
we based ourself outside borders.
and there...we met the joyce-joanne-chelsia team.
joyce held rachna's can in her hand first,then mine,and was jealous :) .
then they disappeared.
and we stayed there.
standing outside the bank occasionally produced results.
then there were the people who very politely said no.
and the people who passed us.again.
and the nice people.
there was this woman who gave me $10 and said,"God bless you for doing such kind things."
that felt so good.so very good indeed ^^.
(as compared to the taxi driver whose taxi i sat in to go to aljunied mrt.he began a monologue about how students should not be forced to do such things because they give extra stress to students and blah blah blah...)
then there was the big screen tv there which did all sorts of stupid things.
one of the people donated 20 cents,and when she did,the tv (which was playing the visa advert about releasing birds) played the music that came on when richard gere released his birds.

i wanted to laugh.
then there were the downright rude.
this guy (scrawny,to tell the truth),i asked him,and what did he do?he looked like he was waving flies.
but that was balanced out soon enough.
there was this tall european female tourist who took out her wallet when i asked.
a couple of two dollar notes fell out,and she picked them up and put them back in her wallet.
then she said she had no small change.
THEN!!!
she took out $50 and put it in.
i could have fainted.
then me and rachna went to city hall.
along the way we saw a show called The Invisible Men.
they're good.mr sng would have liked to see them.
soon after we went back to work.
around there,i stopped.
i knew i shouldn't have,but it was getting difficult to put $2 notes in.
also if it went on like this i thought i'd pose a threat to rachna :P.
then we came upon a representative of the tourism board.
he had a lanyard with a tag with the great singapore sale on it.
he was looking for tourists.
and he gave rachna three dollars.
he said that he had fun doing flag day as a kid.
then we went back.
end of day ^^.
back to being head of household.
i did tell some of you i'm the acting head of household right?
i'm in charge of fetching,giving allowances,curfews,computer time...
naturally the giving of things are liberal,now that my parents are in tokyo with my bro.
three comps,three people,three rolling chairs.
no fighting.
ah this place is like heaven!
but it can be tiring;yesterday my day was completely full in the morning till mid afternoon.

oh and just to inform everybody, the tickets for the NUS theatre plays and other play have been booked:) I got in contact with the super-duper-duper nice President of the Celebrate Drama Festival Ms Noorlizah. She was extremely helpful and she had a whole day's worth of tiring rehearsals to do, and when she got home, she had to check her email for my email to her and then she sent me a confirmation email in the middle of midnight. We're all getting discounts for our tickets. She has already sent an invoice to our school such that the school will pay the tickets for us first in Mr Sng's name(Thank you mr sng!!!) and then we will repay the school when school re-opens.

I send quite a lot of mass emails recently. Very tiring. So this is the post I promise. next time someone aks me about the CIP, I should just re-direct you here.

Remember about the CIP where you can get free t-shirts? Well, I only need 20 people for that and there are more than 40 of us here. Unless you want to do the 2nd shift (from 3 to 7pm). It's late so I know most of you will be unwilling to go. Therefore, I come to a solution that everyone should just go on the following date:

14th of June ~ Jueng Home (8 am - 2 pm; double shifts will be till 6 pm)

*EVERYONE should do CIP for the above date except for lilin, lucy and nisha. I'll email you this post either so you'll get to read it. Those who didn't, I'll hunt you down, so don't worry.

as for me, my life is pretty sucky at the moment.

i just had a minor operation on my foot because there has been an infection because of diabetes and so i had part of my left big toe removed. it hurts like HELL!

but never mind i will ENDURE.

heyz...i am quite new to cedar eldds cauz i am a sec 1...i lurve posting messages on blogs, but onli if i have the time. i lurve my eldds seniors, eg. ying xuan, lilin, husna and....actually i dunn realli knoe the names of most of my seniors, onli knoe some. Actually, Eldds was not my dream CCA, my dream CCA is track and field. you see, i love running, i was chosen but my mum asked me to reject.well, i do understand why she asked me reject it, cauz she is afraid that the training is too tough for me and it will tire me out. furthermore, she is afraid that it mite affect my studies, well, so i chose Eldds, cauz i like ACTING, just like most of u. i actually considered modern dance too, but i did not get in. so that is how i landed in Eldds, but i am quite happie here. dunn worrie, i did not come here reluctantly. i knoe i will enjoy myself here so i chose Eldds.heex...school is quite stressful cauz there are too many tests/exams coming at the same time. sigh, i suppose this is part of life. however, i suppose the sec.4s like lilin and ying xuan must be undergoing even more stress. i just wish everyone good luck in whatever u all do.kks, i thinka it is time for me to leave the computer, see ya guys.bye and take care.
